DB01 Durga

    Friday, April 4, 2008, 08:24 PM [General]

Here is my latest toy, my DB01 Durga with additional hop up aeration dampers etc..

I hope the Electric offroad class regulations at Harewood will be relaxed so I can give this car a play... I'll be home in a year so lets hope the class will allow these cars.

     Talk soon..

    My new 1/10 Scale Tamiyas

    Well,

I have to say there isn't much to do in this grey english weather except stay indoors so Paypal has been getting a good workout.

    My Tamiya Top Force

I can't wait to get back to NZ and give this new class at Harewood a go.

AL I have enough spares back in NZ to transform your new car into a Top Force. I am in the process of getting some Hi-Cap Dampers and Fiber Lyte Chassis.

Oople is a great site,it was real good to be able to read the review before my car arrived.

    I'd like a B44,too!

The 4WD off road scene is even quieter than 2WD,though,and B44's ain't cheap.

I read the Durga review on Oople,it looks like Tamiya are finally making some OK cars.

All my cars are American,so the imperial fasteners aren't an issue, for me.

Brian Kinwald is driving for X Factory and he uses Torx fasteners exclusively, great idea.
I'm toying with the idea of a Novak GTB & a brushless 6.5 motor...So yeah,I'll take your E MAXX on,hell,I'll even race ya with a 12x2 turn brushed!

    Those E MAXX's are insane.

I just lost faith in Japanese made cars,American is the way to go...

Had a play on the Harewood track yesterday mate with my Terra Conqueror. It runs really well, the track is a bit rough so you have to be careful where you go on the track, like the main straight has a lip right in front of the driver's stand, hit it in the middle and it flipped my car!!

Put the RZ motor in and she flies, but I think gearing is too high as the motor gets super hot and I do about 3 minutes on the 1500 batteries. Its running a 21t pinion, stock is 18t so I might get some smaller pinions :) Will be getting some bigger NiMh packs this week as well.

Hey man. I wouldn't bother with the onroad track at Harewood. Its bloody rough looking. The onroad at Ruapuna is world class and has tons of grip. My Group C wore down its front tires so much in one days racing that the nose now scrapes on the ground !
